My Training
Hello.
It’s OK for you to talk about yourself.
I guess you’re here because you want to know a little about me. And that’s OK too!
I provide Psychotherapy, Counselling, Coaching and Consulting using a ‘social psychology’ called Transactional Analysis (TA), from my home near Newport on the Isle of Wight.
I am a Certified Transactional Analyst in Psychotherapy (CTA – Psych) and I achieved a Masters’ Degree in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (MSc – Psych).
I have successfully completed the TA101 Certificate course, the TA Foundation Year course and the four year Advanced Clinical Psychotherapy using TA course. As part of my training requirements, I completed five years of my own personal therapy. I also successfully completed a Diploma in TA Counselling and a Certificate in Trauma Therapy.
As part of my continual professional development (CPD), I have completed and will continue to attend many other relevant training workshops.
I seek out regular Supervision to improve the quality of what I do and how I go about doing it.
I am a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), a member of the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy), the UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis), EATA (European Association for Transactional Analysis) and the ITAA (International Transactional Analysis Association).
I abide by the ethical codes of practice set by these key governing and standard-setting organisations for the UK. The Ethical Codes that underpin our work can be seen and reviewed at:-
